According to the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification; frequently used carpet should be professionally cleaned by a qualified technician at least annually - perhaps a little longer interval for infrequently used carpet and even sooner for carpet in places occupied by respiratory sensitive or allergic persons.
Try not to walk on the carpet during the drying process. The drying process usually takes 3-6 hours depending upon room ventilation.
No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy
furniture or objects. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of
the carpet is indented. Heat, moisture, and hand grooming with our equipment may
help, but it will take time to release back to normal, if at all. Severe cases
may be permanent.
